During the planning phase of a new construction project, this home owner decided to go with dual islands. One for serious prep work and another for efficient clean up. 
   
 





victorian & modern

Interior Changes redesigned this victorian style kitchen in a historical home. Hand carved elements and details were paired with modern appliances and  amenities to remain in keeping with the traditional architecture of the home. The original wood floors were painted in a harlequin pattern to add flavor and fun.

Interior Changes redesigned this farmhouse kitchen and doubled the floor space, relocating a bathroom and adding a main foyer.  During  construction, a brick chimney was exposed. It became the influence for the tile selection and layout of the range backsplash shown.

The time to make floor plan alterations is before construction begins. This client presented plans that were reviewed for traffic flow, furniture layout, and over-all function.  A kitchen redesign was suggested and implemented.

Interior Changes redesigned this dining space by relocating a first floor laundry and  opening up the wall to the kitchen. The repetition of columns divides the large area into "pocket rooms": dining, breakfast zone, and kitchen.

The owners of this lakeside ranch needed help finding room for an open functional kitchen.  Space was borrowed from the previous dining room and from a connecting bedroom which allowed this kitchen to become the center of all activity.

The linen closet on the far wall serves as a "pass through "to the laundry room. Dirty towels get sorted into bins from the bathroom side and clean linens are folded and replaced from the laundry suite. This smart solution eased hauling laundry and created great storage.
